AVTR Manifesto: Towards Eupsychia—A Revolutionary Framework for Human Actualization

Preamble: The Crisis of Capitalist Realism

We exist in an age of systemic violence: a world where human potential is shackled to the profit motive, creativity is commodified, and the ruling class enforces alienation through ideological hegemony. AVTR emerges not as a reformist project but as a revolutionary vanguard—a collective of academics, artists, and agitators united to dismantle capitalism’s psychological and material chains. Our mission is to forge Eupsychia—Maslow’s “Good Society”—by eroding the foundations of greed, violence, and false consciousness.

I. Theoretical Foundations: Dialectics of Liberation

1. Alienation as Capitalist Weapon
   Capitalism fragments the human psyche, reducing individuals to isolated consumers and workers. Drawing from Marx’s Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844, AVTR recognizes that spiritual disconnection (LP’s “Toxic Socialization”) and class alienation (Marx’s Entfremdung) are twin pillars of oppression. Under capitalism, labor becomes a commodity, divorcing workers from their species-being (Gattungswesen)—the creative, communal, spiritual essence that defines humanity.
2. Consciousness as Class Struggle
   Ideas are not neutral—they are battlegrounds. The ruling class maintains power through a powerful and ancient cultural hegemony (Gramsci, Sosteric Zoroaster), embedding myths of meritocracy, scarcity, and individualism. AVTR wages war on this terrain by rewriting collective consciousness—replacing bourgeois archetypes with emancipatory narratives rooted in solidarity, abundance, and dialectical materialism. As Lenin argued in What Is To Be Done?, revolutionary consciousness does not arise spontaneously; it must be organized. AVTR’s media and pedagogy serve this role, acting as a collective vanguard to rupture capitalist ideology.
3. Eupsychia as Communist Horizon
   Maslow’s Eupsychia is not a utopian abstraction but a material possibility. It demands the overthrow of capitalist relations and the creation of systems prioritizing psychological health, human development, and communal flourishing over private accumulation. Here, we synthesize Marx’s Critique of the Gotha Program—which envisions a society where labor is “life’s prime want”—with Frantz Fanon’s decolonial psychoanalysis. True human actualization requires dismantling both economic exploitation and profound indoctrination, and healing and preparing the psychological scars of colonialism.
4. Historical Materialism in Action
   AVTR’s work is grounded in Marx’s historical materialism: the understanding that material conditions shape consciousness. Capitalist crises—climate collapse, AI-driven unemployment, fascist resurgence—are not accidents but inevitable products of capital’s contradictions (Marx’s Law of the Tendency of the Rate of Profit to Fall). Our strategy leverages these crises to expose capitalism’s fragility and advance socialist alternatives.

Section II: Strategic Imperatives—From Critique to Praxis
AVTR’s strategy is rooted in the Marxist imperative to transform theory into revolutionary praxis. To dismantle capitalism’s ideological and material strongholds, we employ a tripartite assault on its superstructure:

1. Dismantling Ideological Apparatuses: Following Althusser’s analysis of Ideological State Apparatuses (ISAs), we target the capitalist Master Narrative, which we call “The Fool’s Narrative.” We expose it and present it as the ideologically violent construct that it is.
2. Dismantling Neoliberal Education. The neoliberal education system, corporate media, and digital surveillance regimes that naturalize capitalist exploitation. AVTR Media will produce agitprop—documentaries, podcasts, media content—that weaponize Marx’s concept of commodity fetishism.
3. Building Counter-Hegemonic Institutions: Drawing from Gramsci’s theory of counter-hegemony, AVTR constructs parallel institutions to erode capitalist legitimacy. The Lightning Path (LP) synthesizes Freirean pedagogy of the oppressed with Marx’s Theses on Feuerbach, offering courses like “Dialectics of Decolonial Healing” that train participants to recognize alienation in their bodily and psychic labor. The SpiritWiki operates as a commons of radical knowledge, hosting entries like “Surplus Value and the Stolen Soul” (applying Marx’s labor theory of value to emotional labor) and “Algorithmic Primitive Accumulation” (updating Rosa Luxemburg’s critique of imperialism for AI capitalism).
4. Cultivating Revolutionary Aesthetics: Art under capitalism is reduced to exchange-value; AVTR reclaims it as a weapon. Inspired by Walter Benjamin’s The Author as Producer, we commission works that rupture capitalist realism: sculptures depicting hollow “self-made” billionaires (critiquing Marx’s commodity fetishism), novels reimagining general strikes as collective spiritual awakenings (echoing Luxemburg’s mass strike theory). Archetype engineering replaces bourgeois myths (e.g., the “Entrepreneur”) with emancipatory figures like the Land Defender (honoring Zapatista autonomy) and the Communal Caretaker (embodying Engels’ Origins of the Family).
